Falling Flat On My Facebook!

OK - I haven't fallen. Unless you call my most recent addiction a falling.

I have openly admitted that I am a Facebook junkie. I love to know what my friends are up to. I love to chat with them and to find names and faces that I haven't seen or heard from in years. Take tonight, for example, when I chatted with a friend that now lives in Colorado. It was so great getting to know what he has been up to since the last time I saw him, some 16 or so years ago.

My brother, Bill, introduced me to a new and fun addiction during our time together during the holidays. It is called Stumble Upon. At this site you are randomly taken to different websites - most of which are incredibly interesting, beautiful, or completely insane. You can tag the ones you really like so that similar sites will be stumbled upon more frequently.

Right now I am very intrigued by photography sites and the weird / interesting sites. Typically I don't look at either one of these genres while browsing the web. I'm usually into news, news, news, and sports, sports, sports. Every once in a while I like to hit some youtube sites. (You have to check out that music site, especially my fellow drummer friends out there.)

There are hundreds of sites that I have seen through Stumble. Here, however, are 5 new sites that I like and that I thought I would share with you to see if you can get hooked with me. After all, junkies need one another, right?

1. Nick Brandt Photography - Beautiful African animal photography. Probably touched up backgrounds, I am guessing, but oh, so nice! The lion before the storm is my current desktop background.

2. Dirty Car Window Art - Who would have thunk it? I'm confident someone took buckets of dust and poured them onto these poor car windows.

3. Strange Animals - Check out the fainting goats link at the bottom too. My family and I laughed so hard when going through the goat pages! :) I want a small herd.

4. Just Hear It - Like free music? Try this site. It advertises that it is completely legal. (More like an instant radio than a download site.)

5. Sunlight Map - See where the sun is on the Earth's surface.

What did you think? Like the sites? There are so many more but I feel I have hyperlinked enough for one evening.

If you become addicted, like me, feel free to send me a comment suggesting some other unique and interesting sites. But, be careful and don't say I didn't warn you.

I LOVE when I'm stumbling, and I'll come across one that says something along the lines of "Congratulations, you've made it to the end of the internet. You can now back outside and resume your regular life." It is a nice wake up call to the 15 minutes that turned into 2 hours of stumbling.
